Track 3 from Earthbound, "Raven Avenue" was recorded after a long day doing awesome stuff with the kids. I was thinking in the key of D, but the guitar is tuned down a minor 3rd to C#. So that makes it B. Guitar math. Through each of these pieces, I was trying to explore different textures from one to the next, while balancing the delicate requirements of being awesome.

Recorded after a visit to Grand Lake Lodge, which overlooks both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. I thought "Shadow Mountain Lake" sounded cooler.

Recorded July 1, 2012. I was on vacation with my kids up in Colorado. Once I got them down to bed for the night, I went out on the porch with Miss Taylor, hit record, and started to play. This is the music that came out.

My son and I were having a "Guy's Night" with my dad at his place in Colorado. After we had some awesome steaks, we sat on the back porch. I played a couple of my songs, and then took out the recorder and played what became "Fall River." The Fall River runs through my dad's back yard, and can be heard on the recording.

The core of "Events of the Morning" was composed in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It took many years to know what to do with it. This version was recorded live at Money Plays bar in Las Vegas, NV, by Mike Ziethlow.
